engagement is it’s kind of cyclical the more your audience engages the more Facebook will show them your posts increasing what’s called your reach or the number of people that Facebook actually shows your post to which should then lead to more engagement and so on and so on so learning to increase that engagement will massively help your business with that in mind Facebook engagement tip number nine hack the algorithm with inspirational educational and entertaining posts you don’t want to constantly pitch your audience with your post creating posts and educate inspire and entertain your audience not only builds goodwill and trust with your audience but it also encourages them to engage with your posts without any pressure to buy so they are much more
likely to do so and when they engage with this great value-based content this tells Facebook that those people actually want to see your posts and in effect Facebook will then show them more of your posts in the future including your promotional posts now Facebook engagement tip number eight do not include links in your posts now this isn’t a super hard and fast rule you can break it on occasion but understand that Facebook wants to keep their users on Facebook so they are less likely to show people your posts if you include a link that would send them off of Facebook links will hurt your post in their
algorithm and it will reach fewer people if you want to send people off to a specific website simply have them comment for the link and then sent it to them privately through messenger either manually or you can even automate it by using a messenger bot not only does this maximize your reach but it also increases your engagement which then in turn makes Facebook show your posts to more people win-win now Facebook engagement tip number seven make sure to use photos and videos whenever possible simply adding a photo to a post can boost your reach and more people will engage Facebook also favors video especially a live video in their algorithm so make sure to use them and when you do a facebook live you get you can get lots of engagement from those who are actually watching the video live with you because you’re
interacting them and telling them to engage with you and so that’s again getting you more engagement gonna boost the algorithm and on and on so it’s another plus Facebook engagement tip number six don’t compete with your own posts if you post too much you’re gonna actually knock your previous posts out of people’s newsfeeds so let them simmer a bit so they have some time for folks to see them and respond now on your business page you really only need to post you know two to three times a week and that’s totally fine now if you’re using your personal page once tops twice a day is the most you want to post but the more you want people to see a specific post and engage with it the longer you want so to wait and let it circulate and kind of simmer before you create a new post Facebook engagement tip number five did you know that 85% of Facebook users are on the platform without sound okay personally totally guilty of this I do it all the time now with that in mind you should definitely add captions to your videos so if you are to take the time to
create video content you should make sure people can actually get value from it and while yes you can you can write all of these out yourself it’s a total pain in the butt waste of time so the service we use and recommend is called Rev comm re v comm they’re super fast they’re accurate and it’s only one dollar per minute of video that you send them so pretty inexpensive Facebook engagement tip number four tell them to engage ask questions in your posts and have them comment with their answers and whenever you’re actually doing a promotional post tell them what to do for the next step we call this a CTA or a call to action tell them to like the post and comment yes below for more information or tell them to like the post and click the link in the description to learn more or whatever you want them to do to move them through your sales process but when you actually tell people to like or
comment you’ll be surprised and how many people will actually do what you tell them to do Facebook engagement tip number three reply to all of your comments that you receive on your posts now you can also boost your reach even a little bit more if you don’t just hit the little reply button that replies specifically to that person but instead just do an additional comment on the post and tag the person you are talking to Facebook engage with tip number two when people comment on your posts reply with questions to engage with your audience this encourages a dialogue you know instead of just saying thanks for the comment or thanks we’re flying back to them ask a question and start open that dialogue the more comments and the more interaction

Some of the highest paid public sector employees in 2018 left their positions over the past year, as a new pay grid was phased in for Alberta post-secondary presidents and senior staff of agencies, boards and commissions.
According to salary information released Friday, David Erickson, former president and chief executive officer of the Alberta Electric System Operator, was the top earner last year, with a base salary of $925,997 and benefits of $11,535, which added up to $937,532 in total compensation
Guy Kerr, former president of the Workers’ Compensation Board, came second with a base salary of $730,214 and $177,635 in benefits, which totalled $907,849.
Both men left their positions in 2018.
Jim Ellis, president of the Alberta Energy Regulator, earned $570,640 in salary and $121,761 in non-taxable benefits for total earnings of $692,401 last year. Ellis left the AER at the end of January.
